Ashley was sitting in his office and it was a ornate one of gothic beauty as some of the furnature were some expensive replicas. His desk though had a network terminal and had several holo screens up. All of them reports and other things. As he was preparing the Ebonheart forces for war with the Harbringer Union. He was not keen on raging war but if that's what Miori wanted. Well that's what she will get, as he was already doing the logistics and already getting intell on several key places that would be worth while targets to take down first. If they were going to take down the Union they were going to do it fast and hard. If it were a long drawn out, he did not know if they would have the resources for something like that. He was leaning back and places his feet up on the desk and was just trying to relax for a minute. Ashley keeps his eyes also on any other new projects that were going to be done soon to be used against the enemy.
He did wonder if there would be a backstab on them the Ebonheart if they won this war. As he did not trust Kline too much, he was an ok person and had respect for the man. But there was something he could not trust and that feeling did serve him well. For now he had to now focus on the matter at hand with the Harbringer Union. He sent for a runner to grab him a cold bottle of soda. As he was really thirsty and did not feel like going to get it. Ashley did enjoy some of his luxuries he had. He did tell the runner to get whatever drink he wanted as well for himself.

Miori let out a tired yawn as she flopped down on her large, feathered bed. How exhausting today had been, and she hadn't even done anything! Her eyes closed, the girl raised her hands towards the ceiling and sighed, letting her arms down with a loud flop. "I didn't think that all this war stuff would be so...booooooooring." She said to herself, reaching up to rub one of her eyes. Despite her lack of activity, Miori was completely beat, but there was still a lot of work to be done. She was going to need a lot of help for all that was to come, and she knew it. At least she had her friends. Sighing again, Miori opened her eyes and spaced off into the light on the ceiling above.[break][break]
What now?[break][break]
Sitting up, Miori stretched her arms high again and then stood, making her way towards the door. With nothing better to do, she figured she may as well go see whatever Ash was up to. She figured he was prepping for the coming pre-empitve against the Union, but it never hurt to peek. Her pace quickened to a power walk of sorts as she blew past everyone else in the halls of Cloudclaw Spire. Looking around, Miori was finally able to catch Ash sitting in his office, looking over something it seemed. Quietly, she tiptoed up behind him, throwing her arms around him with a gentle squeeze.[break][break]
"Sooooo what'cha got there, hmmmm Ash?" She said, grinning lightly. "Stuff from the battle?"

Ashley felt a presence in the room and then feels a pair of arms wrap around him. Then hearing Miori's voice and he chuckled a bit. "Just getting some logistics on resources, equipment, and manpower. As well intell on places where I want to hit the Union the hardist. If we have to start this, we need to keep the momentum going. And prevent them from trying to get the edge on us" he said and leaned his head back to face Miori. As she became quite inquisitive on several matters as she became the Empress of the Ebonheart. "I'm also trying to get most of the major tech companies bought under our flag. Other then that not too much......but enough of this. How are you holding up with everything" he asked her since he knew her before Leo and Kline had showed up. He knew that Miori's new title would be very stressful since now she had to lead a entire nation of people. Plus the death of her father would weigh a lot apon her heart.
The young man did hope that he could make this war a short one then a long drawn out one. Ashley did want to see Miori happy out of most of the people out there. He him self did not have much outside of the Strays, since he had no family or anything before joining. Ashley had a few things as he had a vacation planned but with the death of the president and the call to war. Priorties had changed since he now had to ensure that this war on the Union would be perfect without too many problems. As he hoped, but did plan for the worst as that was always a possibility.

Miori retracted her arms, taking a seat on the edge of Ash’s desk and listening intently as he spoke. His military prowess, for someone so young, was impressive to say the least. Taking him as her military adviser was definitely the way to go. She nodded, smiling lightly in response to his question. How was she holding up? That was a good question. Shrugging, Miori started to lightly kick her feet, taking great care not to hit the desk. “I’m doing alright, actually.” She answered matter-of-factly. “Just trying to see everyone before you all ship off for Neptune, really.”[break][break]
Hopping off the desk, the girl took a seat on a nearby chair, spinning in it lightly and giggling. Boredom. Complete and utter boredom. Was it Ash? Was it her? Nah, it was probably just the day - just like before. “I haven’t gotten a chance to go visit with Leo yet, but I went out with Klein yesterday - and I made a new friend at the mall the day before that. I just need to keep myself occupied, is all.” Miori added, yawning lightly. “What all are you up to today?”
