Aiji is a person who is obedient to the person that is in charge. He is mostly curious, but he's also a guy who doesn't let anyone to know his emotions. For most people when they do get to know his emotions behind the mask he is usually a sad person. He doesn't let the mask fall down since he's too worried about being called a softie and he is battle hardened. He can turn from sweet person to a coldhearted person. Aiji is quite trustworthy to Harbingers.

Aiji was born to a human mother Maya Sasaki and to an Eden father, which makes him half-human. He was born on Alvesta. When his parents had divorced when he was five. He had started his training when he was just about ten years old. His father had trained him to pilot the mobile suits. Aiji had been taught to keep battling until the enemy is surrenders. His father was a pilot once before, so he had been teaching his son what he had learned. Aiji had been taught 7 years of piloting and even from professionals as well. He was sixteen when he had joined Harbingers and he was at the tender age of seventeen when he was given Seravee.
