One of These Days

The store suddenly seemed smaller when Karina had begun to get to the back of the room. There was probably a lot more that she was missing to be quite honest and things were looking a little boring now because Karina had a habit of looking over things and then not returning to look at them an additional time because she remembered the designs so easily. With that she had at the moment was a start to the shopping spree at least and with the pair of jeans, she headed for the counter to pay for them. Miori was trying to help Karin find more durable stuff it seems though, because she suggested that they check out a store she knew of that was deeper into the mall. That was pretty nice to hear, you didn't get a lot of chances to figure out what was around you in Karina's career. “Well alright then. That would be really nice.” Karina replied. She handed the pair of jeans over to the cashier who scanned the bar code and then removed a small security device from the pants. The pants were quickly bagged into the stores own logo bag and from there Karina paid the woman, next up was the recommended store.

Karina made her way over to the Mall hallways, noting that Miori said the music in the stores were not really something she kept up with on current generation hits. That was understandable though because weather or not the future had some good themes the past had plenty of artists that have been republished even today. “Well that's a bummer I guess, but not a total loss. So where is this store you recommended?” Karina asked.

Karina was not one to jump from store to store so quickly, but if anything it would help her survey the Mall for decent spots, then so be it. Karina waited a bit at the door of the clothing store for Miori to decide if she was going to buy something or move on to the other stores. There was no reason to hinder her new acquaintances time looking for good merchandise, everyone had their way of doing things. While she waited, Karina grabbed a mobile from out of her pocket and checked her messages in case anyone was trying to reach her. The commanders of her ship were being a bit picky today and they had a tendency to speed up schedules even if it was at the last minute. What Karina was most bugged about was that they weren't notifying anyone before hand, but that was just another problem for the average soldier to deal with. What Karina did not expect though was Miori's offer to allow Karina up into the tower during her next stay in Cloudclaw or when ever Karina had enough free time. That was a nice offer and it certainly would let Karina stick it to her peers when she finally departed. “Well, while I don't think your neighbors will have a problem seeing a commoner like me roaming around with you up there, that might be cool to do sometime.

Karina thought about how others might react to her while at Cloudclaw Tower, that would certainly bring some attention to her no less. However would it be worth it to see people fume over her sudden appearance in such a high society place? That would be interesting to see. Karina returned to her phone for a moment, reading up on latest regional news sites and just relaxing until they got moving again.
