Karina is a very basic young adult, born of both Eden and Human background. She stands at a basic height of about five feet and seven inches, however her size pales in comparison to her sister who stands over her at about five feet and nine inches. For a good portion of her life, Karina was easily teased about her slightly shorter height than other girls, but it was all harmless fun in the end. Her human type body is complimented by the visual traits most half breed Eden's poses, such as vibrant blue hair that stretches just past her back and shimmering sapphire blue eyes which others have mistaken her for an idol rather than a soldier.

Karina is not one to stick to material things often, she prefers to look her best but while also making sure she never looks the same twice in a row. She loves loose fitting clothing for ease of movement but easily enjoys wearing popular types of clothes weather they're something basic or quite extravagant. One item she never lets go of though, is the Pegasus Pendant given to her by her mother on her fifteenth birthday.

Karina is not what you would call subtle on the battlefield, for a soldier, she is surely one of the more irregulars among her peers. At a glance, she is quite an open minded girl who welcomes all sorts of view points from marriage to political structure, however she can easily blank out on a question or situation if she find its too difficult to comprehend. She is a very energetic person who does not believe in causing others grief, in a fight though, Karina has learned to think of the enemy as lifeless machines, a lie she has used over the years to convince herself to fight.

Ambitions: Karina can be seen as simple minded because she has a dream of one day becoming a pop idol or even an Event Manager for one. Some of her peers in the military have suggested that should Karina become a fashion model for the latest trends and idea's flowing around the Empire these days. Even then, her mind is storm of possibilities when not on active duty.

Though Eden's have existed even before the time of man, much of their people left for the stars. However, those who were left behind soon found themselves mingling with the new locals of the planet, Humans. It is not unthinkable that Eden's would eventually mate with humankind to survive and expand on their people, even today, that remains true. In 2044, the mid 21st century, a family known as the Redfields, a family of three that had now become a family of four. Karina Redfield, a Half Eden girl was born in the United Kingdom. She was an energetic girl as a child, full of life and plenty of energy to keep even her parents busy most of the time. Being the type of child she was born as, the sight of Blue Hair was not a common thing among other Humans of her town, making it kind of tough to avoid being the target of criminals and people with exotic tastes. The idea that Karina had to be hidden sometimes or even moved about to different locations with relatives really took a toll on the family, until the arrival of the Eden themselves. Though it would take some time before there were more like Karina or her sister Olivia, things got a bit easier over time.

Because the Redfields were loyal to the Ebonheart cause, the family as a whole followed the Ebonheart people into space when they decided to move. Though the technology developed from Eden assistance was helpful in colonizing the solar system, it was not easy to adjust to space life because there were more dangers and unexplored frontiers to map. Duncan Redfield, both a father and a construction worker, was part of the labor force that helped create the colony cluster known as Titan. These colonies became Karina's new home and the place were she'd eventually grow up knowing about the most. However, she was not completely free yet. Conflict broke out between the nations of Earth and the Ebonheart, and because Duncan enlisted for a spot in the military as an engineer, the Battle of Honor Hall saw his demise. Though it has been sometime since that conflict, Laura Redfield eventually remarried due to her love for the Eden race and for the person she had meet after Duncan's Death. Though Karina now had a surrogate father, it was hard to get used to and she even ended up joining the military but intent on just being a reserve agent. However, with the Assault on Gauntlet, Karina is quickly moved from a reserve soldier to a full fledged frontline pilot, using the latest machina technology that the Ebonheart Empire can make. Now that war has been declared, she has no choice but to fight, but what happens will surely become a catalyst for change.
